Nairobi, Kenya (May 05, 2010): OMS is pleased to announce that it has signed a Consultancy and Project Management agreement for 84MW diesel engine powered thermal power plant by Gulf Power, Kenya.

OMS’ scope of work for this project includes review of technical schedules for Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), review of EPC proposal & contract, review of O&M Proposal & contract, review and approval of detailed schedule of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning work, review of basic & detailed design provided by EPC, supervision of entire construction works, monitoring of safety, health and environmental plans, providing supervisory assistance for testing.

Experienced gained in the emerging markets helped OMS to sign this first of its kind agreement in the African market and we hope this project will open the door of opportunities in the African continent too.
